The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting strategic initiatives and enhancement of financial operations, (areas including but not limited to capex forecasting, corporate development, business case analysis, and financial system reporting). This position requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain capital expenditure (capex) forecasts with project managers to ensure accuracy and timeline of cash flows.
Monitor consolidated project capex spending against budget and provide variance analysis to management.
Evaluate investment opportunities and develop financial models that support strong investment returns
Conduct financial due diligence on one-off corporate opportunities and prepare investment memos.
Investigate financial anomalies, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Respond quickly to ad hoc requests from management, providing insightful analysis to support strategic decisions
Partner with departments to provide support, guidance, coordination, and process streamlining.
Provide support for adhering to Operating and SOX Financial controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP accounting standards
Supports releases and roadmap planning for enhancements and initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Equivalent education, experience and training may be substituted for the degree requirement on a year for year basis
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in financial or strategy position
Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization tools
Strong communication skills and ability to present complex information to stakeholders
End user knowledge of complex ERPs, Workday is a plus
