Location: Milwaukee, WI

Summary:

As a Project Engineer, you'll be the driving force behind the conceptualization and design of unique lifting system solutions. Your role involves creating mechanical product design drawings using state-of-the-art Computer Aided Design and Detailing (CADD) software. Your designs will not only meet customer specifications but also adhere to codes, regulations, and best engineering practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Innovative Design: Create intricate mechanical designs and drawings for our most innovative and complex projects, showcasing product details, dimensions, structures, and manufacturing procedures using 3D CADD software (SolidWorks).
  2. Product Line Development: Develop 3D CADD models and drawings for our product line, contributing to our ever-evolving engineering landscape.
  3. Precision and Accuracy: Ensure that all drawings are meticulous, accurate, comprehensive, and align with customer requirements and company procedures.
  4. Deadlines and Deliverables: Deliver drawings, illustrations, and models according to schedules and deadlines set by customers and Engineering Department Management.
  5. Collaborative Ingenuity: Bring your innovative ideas, skills, and work product to the table as an essential part of both small project groups and individual work.
  6. Tech Savvy: Utilize Solid Modeling, Product Data Management (PDM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software as an integral part of your daily business, demonstrating a continuous commitment to learning and skills advancement.
  7. Problem Solver: Analyze customer, mechanical, structural, and regulatory requirements to develop practical, effective, and complete vertical lifting solutions.
  8. Transformational Design: Convert verbal and written information into 2-dimensional drawings for use in the product manufacturing process.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study.
  • At least 2 years of mechanical design experience in fabrication, heavy equipment, or a related manufacturing industry with a proven track record in developing engineering drawings and applying engineering manufacturing principles.
  • 2 years of experience with SolidWorks 3D CADD software.
  • Preferably, 2 years of experience with Finite Element Analysis software (SolidWorks Simulation and Algor by AutoDesk).
