Job Title: Technical Business Analyst (Integration Testing and Production Support)

Location: Clemmons or Mocksville, NC location

Department: IT

Job Type: Contract -- 6 months, extension possible

Hybrid: 4 days in office; 1 day remote from home

Position Summary:

The Technical Business Analyst plays a critical role in the design, implementation, and support of system integrations across the organization. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring smooth, efficient, and effective system integration processes. The position involves working closely with cross-functional teams including development, operations, and product management to drive integration projects from conception to completion, along with providing ongoing production support.

Key Responsibilities:

Integration Design & Analysis:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and document business requirements for system integrations.
  • Develop integration design specifications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical architecture.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications, workflows, and data models.
  • Conduct gap analysis, identify integration points, and recommend solutions that optimize system interoperability.
  • Ensure that integration designs comply with company standards and industry best practices.

Production Support:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for resolving production integration issues and system failures.
  • Troubleshoot integration-related issues by working with development teams, database administrators, and third-party vendors.
  • Monitor system performance and provide proactive support to prevent integration failures or bottlenecks.
  • Document support procedures, incident management processes, and root cause analysis for production issues.
  • Participate in incident resolution and coordinate with technical teams for bug fixes and system improvements.

Project Management Support:
  • Assist in managing integration projects, including defining scope, setting timelines, and identifying resources.
  • Work with project managers to ensure milestones are met, risks are identified, and integration efforts stay on track.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), system validation, and post-implementation reviews.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in business analysis, system integration, or technical support.
  • Proven experience working on integration projects, including APIs, middleware, and data transformation.
  • Experience supporting production systems in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of integration technologies (e.g., REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, Web Services).
  • Proficiency with database queries (SQL), data analysis, and data mapping.
  • Knowledge of API management, security, and governance.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#) is a plus.

Soft Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts to business users.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
