We are seeking a talented Tool Administrator to work on-site in our Lanham, MD in the NMCC.The NMCC Tool Administrators are responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, configuration, and operation of various tools identified. Administrators are tasked with producing reports as required and ensuring the tools are kept up to date with all necessary software, hardware updates, and configuration changes to support operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular software and hardware application deployment, configuration management, maintenance, patches, upgrades, backups, disaster recovery, and integration with other network management tools.
  • Provide expert administration for tools including, but not limited to:
  1. HP NNMi, HP Operation Orchestration, HP Network Automation
  2. Derdack, StatSeeker, Performance Manager
  3. Lancope/Stealthwatch, Cisco Secure ISE
  4. Gigamon, NMCC SharePoint Portal
  5. Cisco and Riverbed UC Monitoring Solution, Riverbed Aternity
  6. Aruba Airwave, Bomgar
  • Distribute workload among team members as necessary to maintain the efficient operation of all tools.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, including BW changes, policy updates (HPNA and ISE), application changes, IP address changes, response paths, and network configuration changes.
  • Upgrade operating systems and apply security patches as necessary.
  • Write, maintain, and update security policies, particularly for Cisco ISE.
  • Ensure FISMA compliance and participate in audits to maintain full regulatory adherence.
  • Develop alerting mechanisms, setting thresholds for tool performance monitoring.

Qualifications:
  • Five (5) or more years of experience as a Tools Administrator in an NMCC environment.
  • Strong experience with HP, Cisco, Aruba, and Riverbed network management tools.
  • Familiarity with both Linux and Windows environments for tool administration.
  • Expertise in FISMA requirements and ability to manage tools in compliance with federal regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving network and system issues, managing disaster recovery, and developing/maintaining documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience administering tools in a government contracting or similar environment.
  • Ability to manage complex network infrastructures and provide automated solutions for routine tasks.

Physical and Mental Qualifications:
  • Be able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours.
  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard)
  • Able to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language
  • Execute tasks independently and work as a team.
  • Learns and memories routine tasks.
  • Strong organizational, grammar, business correspondence, and self-management skills
