Summary

The PMO will be responsible for overseeing all company's project management practices for solutions and IT ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role involves coordinating and leading project teams, managing resources, developing project plans, and ensuring adherence to project management standards and methodologies. The PMO will also be responsible for identifying and mitigating project risks, as well as communicating project status and progress to stakeholders. The PMO will also have management responsibilities over approximately 5 teammates.

Project Portfolio Management:
  • Oversee the entire portfolio of technology projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
  • Prioritize and allocate resources to projects based on business needs and project importance.
  • Monitor project progress across the portfolio, identifying any potential issues or bottlenecks.
  • Project Planning and Execution:Develop and implement comprehensive project plans for all technology initiatives, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of technology projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
  • Risk Management:Identify potential risks and challenges across all technology projects, developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Monitor and manage project risks, ensuring they are addressed proactively to minimize impact.
  • Stakeholder Communication:Serve as the primary point of contact for all technology project-related communications with stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and external partners.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports, including progress updates, risks, and issues.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and changes.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:Ensure that all technology projects adhere to quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain all processes and procedures related to business techonolgies.
  • Process Improvement:Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in project management and technology to drive innovation.
  • Budget Management:Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that all technology projects are delivered within approved financial parameters.
  • Track project expenditures and ensure effective use of resources.
  • Team Leadership and Development:Mentor and support project managers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed for success.
  • Lead and manage the IT team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate IT staff to ensure high performance.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet both short-term and long-term technology goals.
  • Daily Operations Management:Oversee daily technology operations, ensuring the reliability and performance of the company's technology infrastructure, including servers, networks, and hardware.
  • Manage IT helpdesk services to ensure timely resolution of issues and provide technical support to all employees.
  • Ensure the company's IT systems and processes comply with regulatory and industry standards, which require periodical maintenance and upgrades including those related to network security and data protection.
  • Vendor Management:Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and consultants to ensure the company's technology needs are met.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with IT suppliers and monitor service level agreements (SLAs).

KPI: Daily communications, Project completion within scope, on-time, and within budget, project team morale, business technology and other audits, network/systems recovery time, ticket response times, managing within department budget, team morale.Position Requirements
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified and/or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management / IT management or a similar role.
  • Proven track of project completion on-time, within budget, and project scope
  • Experience in IT infrastructure planning, development, and operations.
  • Understanding of IT systems, networks, security protocols, and software applications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
