Position Overview

AccuLynx is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our dynamic and growing team. We're seeking someone passionate about simplifying complex systems and with hands-on experience designing user interfaces for desktop platforms. The ideal candidate is well-versed in the software design lifecycle and has a strong track record of creating responsive web applications.

As a Senior Product Designer at AccuLynx, you'll work collaboratively within a cross-functional team to iteratively develop solutions that align with customer and business goals. You'll also actively participate in product definition and design workshops to help shape product requirements.

As a Senior Product Designer at AccuLynx, you'll be an exceptional communicator adept at juggling multiple priorities and managing tasks efficiently. You'll work closely with product managers, development leads, engineers, and fellow designers to transform business objectives and user needs into intuitive user flows, wireframes, and polished interfaces. Leading the exploration of new concepts, you'll shape how they come to life through user interfaces that blend functionality, visual appeal, and usability. Your work will elevate the customer experience and drive measurable business outcomes.

This role reports directly to our VP of Product and Design.

What You Will Do

  • Create digital product solutions for AccuLynx's desktop and mobile applications, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
  • Solve complex interaction design challenges by applying innovative design thinking and user-centered approaches.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to deeply understand customer needs in real-world contexts and translate them into practical design solutions.
  • Translate direction into detailed prototypes, wireframes, and visual compositions to effectively communicate design ideas.
  • Develop visual comps, wireframes, and process flows that align with product requirements and user goals.
  • Champion creative ideas by clearly communicating them both verbally and through compelling design artifacts.
  • Participate in design workshops to explore multiple design concepts and solutions for a given set of requirements.
  • Leverage expertise in composition, typography, color theory, and responsive web design to ensure best practices in user interface design.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to the broader goals of the product design team.

Your Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in UI and visual design for software or eCommerce businesses, with a strong emphasis on responsive web design and mobile applications.
  • A formal degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field; equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Expert knowledge of design tools such as Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with motion graphics and prototyping tools is a plus.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to grasp big-picture concepts while working modularly to enable product improvements across multiple phases.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within an agile development environment.
  • Collaborative mindset and proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Deep understanding of technical constraints and opportunities within desktop browsers, mobile devices, and presentation layer technologies.
  • An impressive portfolio that highlights product, design, interaction and visual design capabilities.
  • Passion for user interface design, focusing on solving real-world problems and delivering valuable user experiences.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, with careful attention to detail and the ability to tackle complex and nuanced product requirements.
  • Deep experience designing desktop products, particularly in SaaS environments, with a focus on creating engaging user experiences. (Mobile design experience is big plus)
