Ampco Pumps is a fast-growing manufacturer of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps used in the food and dairy industries, desalination, and various chemical and industrial applications.
We are seeking a forward-thinking Engineering Manager to mentor and guide our engineering team. The Engineering Manager is crucial in driving the design process and spearheading problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts within the engineering team, RSMs, and customers ensuring innovative solutions and effective resolution of challenges in high-level projects.
Duties/Responsibilities
Guide Engineering Department with problem solving and solution creation in product design and testing to improve productivity.
Identify and implement process and product improvements to reduce costs, minimize waste and increase efficiency.
Oversee high-level engineering projects, providing technical expertise and leadership to meet project requirements and deadline.
Utilize proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software (Solid Works or Master Cam preferred) to facilitate design and drafting processes.
Apply knowledge and understanding of food processing.
Apply knowledge and understanding of pump design, manufacturing, and testing.
Conceptualize in 3D and apply critical and creative thinking skills to deliver effective design solutions that meet project requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality Assurance, and Sales, to ensure alignment with project goals and customer needs.
Follow all housekeeping procedures and comply with all quality and safety regulations.
Other duties as assigned.

3-5 years of experience using CAD software; Solid Works or Master Cam preferred.
3-5 years in a mid-level managerial role.
Preferred Skills
Prior experience with positive displacement pumps, centrifugal pumps and mixing and blending applications is a plus (sanitary or industrial).
Prior experience with food processing equipment.
Familiarity with the principles of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
Minimum 8-10 years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with preferred experience in the food or beverage processing industry.
Minimum 2-5 years of previous Supervisory experience.
