Are you an organized, detail-oriented individual with strong administrative skills and experience in the construction industry? SCC is seeking a Project Assistant to join our project management team. This pivotal role involves coordinating activities with precision, providing high-level support, and enhancing the effectiveness of the overall process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the project management team with administrative tasks and project coordination.
Process subcontract documents, including non-temp facility purchase orders.
Manage requests for subcontractor insurance, W9s, State/City licenses, and project contacts.
Prepare and process Field Work Directives (FWDs) and subcontractor change orders.
Assist with owner payment applications, reimbursable invoices, and associated reporting.
Coordinate submittals and closeout processes, and assist with warranty service management.
Maintain organized files and handle status reporting.
Attend project management meetings and support progress tracking.
Build knowledge of construction processes and promote strong customer relations.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
A self-starter who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to interact at all levels of the organization.
Ability to train and mentor others, maintain confidentiality, and display sound judgment
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and project management software (Procore knowledge preferred).
Familiarity with DocuSign, AIA contract documents, and construction cost accounting
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
Minimum 5 years of administrative experience, preferably in the construction industry
Familiarity with OCIP is highly desirable
High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional experience preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Primarily office-based with some local and domestic travel for meetings and events
Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment

Strong technical and written communication skills.
Ability to work and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels
Manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
Exhibit diligence in establishing a positive rapport with subcontractors/vendors to obtain timely documents.

SALARY $60,000 - $80,000 per year DOE
