Wind Development Director | Onshore Wind | Developer
We are partnered with the renewable energy subsidiary of an S&P Top 100 business. This company has been developing utility projects in the US for over 15 years, constructed over 1GW and has a development pipeline of 20GW nationwide.
They are looking to bring on an Wind Development Director to join their growing team on some exciting new projects. Funding is the least of their concerns, with huge financial firepower reinforcing the development unit and whole business, making now a fantastic time to join.
Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate potential wind energy project sites in the US, primarily in the ERCOT and WECC regions.
Lead negotiations with landowners, utility companies, and other stakeholders.
Oversee permitting processes and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Manage the project budget and timeline to ensure successful completion.
Build and expand the company's business portfolio by developing a strong team.
Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and finance, to drive project success.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in wind energy development in the United States.
Strong knowledge of land, regulatory requirements, and permitting processes related to wind power.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive project outcomes.
Experience working with a company headquartered abroad.
