We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our client's team. This role involves collecting, reviewing, and publishing market pricing and incentive program information for our staff and shareholders. You will analyze key business insights such as marketing program qualifications, earnings forecasts, product import records, and supplier performance. Additionally, you will manage the accuracy and accessibility of purchase and sales reports.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management:
Collaborate with staff and suppliers to ensure that the product catalog, pricing, and marketing information is up-to-date and accessible to shareholders.
Select and maintain a secure database for publishing shareholder information.
Develop and implement data management protocols and best practices.
Daily maintenance and updates of the product catalog database as needed.
Business Insights:
Work with staff and suppliers to create tools for estimating future earnings.
Summarize and report monthly purchases of generic and private label products.
Manage the accuracy and availability of shareholder EDI data.
Collect and present monthly active ingredient import reports in user-friendly formats.
Monitor and summarize trends in active ingredient costs and supplier performance.
Website and Communication:
Ensure website content is current by working closely with the website provider.
Communicate data findings clearly and concisely to team members and stakeholders.
Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in data management.
Other Responsibilities
Collaborate with staff to understand business needs and provide data-supported insights.
Maintain strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all reports and databases.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field preferred; an advanced degree is a plus.
Proven experience as a Data Analyst is preferred.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel).
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data into actionable insights.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Familiarity with data management and quality assurance principles.
