The Senior Payroll and HRMS Manager coordinates the processing of payroll for all LPW Group divisions and corporate staff. Reviews personnel records to determine names, rates of pay, occupations of new hires, and changes in wage rates and occupations of employees on payroll. Coordinates computation of differential pay according to company policy. Oversees compilation and preparation of other payroll data such as insurance and deferred compensation contributions. Reviews and approves payroll deductions, interprets company policies and government regulations in connection with payroll procedures, and directs preparation of government reports. Oversees the processing of timecards, compiling payroll statistics, maintaining payroll control records, recording hours of work, and calculating payrolls. Analyzes payrolls for accuracy before extensions are made. May manage activities of multiple payroll systems and/or Payroll Supervisors at different locations. Leads and serves as a resource for all year-end processing. Serves as an expert resource for all human resource management systems, including Dayforce and ADP, especially with regards to system reporting.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the processing of all payrolls across LPW Group divisions
Lead all year-end processes, including the production and distribution of employee W-2s and equivalents
Ensure that all tax jurisdictions are set up properly, both for current divisions and any future acquisitions
Review and assess the application and payment of overtime pay across all divisions
Day-to-day responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:
Responding to HR representative and employee questions related to payroll and the HRMS
Develop written processes and procedures that can accurately produce payroll runs (e.g., process and procedure desk manuals, check lists, validation files / processes, etc.)
Develop reports in the HRMS that support division needs and corporate requests
Ensure the accuracy of all employee data in the HRMS; develop reporting to support division HR in maintaining accurate employee records.
Work Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements
Minimum of 8 years' experience processing payroll for a multi-state company with 1,000+ employees
Minimum 5 years' experience with lead responsibility for determining state and local tax requirements for a company with 1,000+ employees
Expert knowledge of ADP and Dayforce payroll processing and HRMS
Ability to coordinate processes with peers in various states and divisions
Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job; the ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred, but not required
Must possess strong math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division
Must demonstrate the ability to manage payroll processes from end to end in both ADP and Ceridian / Dayforce systems
