Our client is looking for multiple Mechanics to join their growing team. They provide natural gas compression equipment and services to customers globally in the Oil & Gas, Power, Transportation, and Marine sectors. Headquartered in Houston, TX, but with commercial and services hubs worldwide, our client provides world-class services to more than 22,000 units in its installed base.
Successful candidates must pass a background check, MVR check and drug screening as a requirement for these positions.
General Summary:
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will perform duties related to the disassembly, positioning, reassembly, testing and painting of moderate to highly complex equipment utilizing a combination of manual, pneumatic and hydraulic tools for fitting, adjusting, and securing maneuvers. Clean inspect and repair Natural gas engine and compressor components in a shop environment, must be able to adhere to all Environmental, Health and Safety rules and regulations. Be capable of reading detailed prints, use and read micrometers, dial calipers and dial indicators. Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays.

Set Monday through Friday schedule: 7am to 3:30pm

Responsibilities:
Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Beliefs, Compliance, and Integrity policies
Have strong mechanical aptitude with an Oil & Gas background as well as the ability to use a wide range of mechanical tools and test equipment
Complete Risk Assessments prior to performing all operations and light to heavy weight material movements by means of cranes and lift trucks
Be responsible for ensuring facility equipment and tooling is accounted for, operating efficiently, and safely
Identify, report, and mitigate problems or hazardous conditions that occur during equipment disassembly, assembly and test set-up
Possess excellent Communication, Teamwork, and Collaborative Skills with team members and basic understanding of working to production schedules / plans
Ensure departmental compliance with all applicable quality, health, safety and environmental regulations
Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on mechanical tooling & equipment
Complete required documentation with accurate information for routers, documents and inspection reports
Qualifications:
Safety-focused, service-oriented, business-focused, a self-starter
Technical training in the oil and gas industry or associated industry
Basic hand tools or maintenance experience
Basic Engine & Compressor knowledge preferred
Experience with any of the following engines: Superior, Waukesha, Dyno
