We are looking for an Efficiency Manager to join our growing team! The primary objectives for the Efficiency Manager (EM) are to field calls from customers, maintain trucking schedules daily, and invoices, and act as a communication liaison. They will also be required to answer any questions from drivers, help them avoid traffic jams and keep them aware of inclement weather ahead.

Duties and responsibilities:

Take a high volume of calls from customers and create work order tickets using Service Management (SM)

Create work order tickets and assigning work orders to drivers and scheduling using the D-Board within Service Management

Check every Afternoon for work order mistakes or changes that need to be made

Communicate with truck drivers throughout the day utilizing the various methods of communication such as two-way radios, phones or other means such as the D-Board

Be available during normal work hours to answer any questions from drivers, help them avoid traffic jams and keep them aware of inclement weather ahead, and exact locations in newly developed areas

Assign drivers to trucks and trailers, assuring drivers stay on schedule

Answer questions and calls from customers and sub-contracted truckers, take payments

Follow operational policies and procedures to achieve safety objectives

Assist with daily truck tickets and paperwork

Verify with quarries to ensure they have the product before sending trucks

Contact customers daily for trucking and material needs prior to 11:00am

Communicate with customers if drivers are running behind

Build daily schedule by 4:00 PM. Verify accuracy of work orders and adjust as needed

Material knowledge and knowledge of pit locations

Communicate with pits (pickup numbers and materials needed)

Communicate with yard personnel as needed

Manage daily operations of drivers including monthly meeting agenda and grit training

Create and upkeep POs for work orders and deliveries

Other duties as assigned by management

Must be able to understand DOT weights allowed and regulations

Assist with answering phone calls on land line

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (use of equipment or 2- person lift over 50 lbs.)

Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend and lift/move up to 30 lbs.

Walking, bending, twisting, reaching, crawling, stretching, and standing on occasion is required.
