Our client is looking for an experienced Patent Agent with a strong background in biotechnology to support our clients in protecting their innovative inventions. You will play a key role in drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications while collaborating with scientists and legal professionals to navigate the complexities of biotech patents.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and prosecute patent applications for biotechnological inventions.
Conduct prior art searches and provide assessments of patentability.
Collaborate with inventors and R&D teams to understand and document inventions.
Advise clients on IP strategy, patent portfolio management, and regulatory considerations.
Communicate with patent offices and respond to office actions effectively.
Stay informed on the latest developments in biotechnology and patent law.
Qualifications:
Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Patent Agent
Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Proven experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the biotech field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
