As an Azure Infrastructure Architect specializing in Disaster Recovery Landing Zones, you will be responsible for designing and implementing resilient and scalable architectures on Microsoft Azure. Your primary focus will be on establishing disaster recovery strategies and landing zones, ensuring the highest levels of availability, reliability, and security for our clients' cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, architect, and implement disaster recovery solutions on Microsoft Azure, with a focus on establishing landing zones for enterprise-level applications and workloads.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into robust Azure architecture designs.
Develop and maintain documentation related to disaster recovery procedures, architecture diagrams, and best practices.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IAC) principles using Terraform for automated deployment and management of Azure resources.
Provide guidance and expertise on DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and infrastructure automation.
Perform infrastructure assessments and recommend optimizations to enhance performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Stay updated with the latest Azure services, features, and best practices, and incorporate them into architectural designs as appropriate.
Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Extensive experience as an Azure Architect, with a focus on disaster recovery landing zones and enterprise-level solutions.
Strong proficiency in Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, Azure Site Recovery, and Azure Security Center.
In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) principles and hands-on experience with Terraform.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing resilient, scalable, and secure architectures on Microsoft Azure.
Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Residing in Houston or nearby areas, with the flexibility to commute to the Houston office 2-3 days per week.
