This position is primarily concerned with the day-to-day Commercial analytical activities and broader corporate business functions. The analyst will be responsible for commodity settlements and invoicing, energy and inventory balance reporting, middle office ETRM processes, and commercial financial planning and analysis. Position requires daily interface with the commercial department's Toller Services, Commercial Operations and Commercial Execution teams, as well as, Marketing, Accounting, Finance and operational teams. Periodic interface with customers and other counterparties may also be required.
Ideal candidates will be self-starters and team players, requiring minimal oversight, and willing to take on multiple tasks simultaneously with a keen attention to detail. LNG, natural gas, and/or ERCOT power experience with advanced excel skills are preferred. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Duties/Responsibilities
Corporate Support
Maintain in-depth understanding of key commercial contracts and agreements
Daily analytical support and reporting for the middle office risk business processes including the following functions:
Energy balancing and inventory management
Transaction confirmation, commodity actualization
Settlement and invoicing for commodity contracts for multiple business entities
Support commercial front and back office activities
Daily analytical support and reporting for power settlements and invoicing
Provide continuous improvement for the Corporate Support team and Commercial organization
Required rotational weekend coverage for front-office transactional support
Financial Planning and Market Analysis
Maintain periodic reports for management including, but not limited to, relevant commodity pricing, ERCOT markets, LNG market pricing, and shipping market data
Manage departmental budgeting process and periodic monitoring, reporting, and analysis
Ad hoc analytical support for business planning and financial projection modeling
Capacity and LNG Marketing
Ad hoc analytical support for gas acquisition and LNG marketing activities, as directed by the VP Commercial in support of the LNG marketing and new business development team
Essential Functions
Minimum Qualification/Work Experience
Minimum Education Required: BA in finance, engineering, or related field at time of hire or commensurate professional experience in a directly-related field
Preferred Experience: FP&A experience, familiarity with commodity settlements, natural gas and/or ERCOT power market fundamentals

Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility. Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
