This utilities construction company specializes in telecom construction and has been a pillar in the community for many years, growing their revenue faster than their local competitors. They're looking for a data-driven Chief Operations Officer to take some major responsibilities off the CEO's plate - implement scalable processes, drive performance, and establish a data-driven culture.. This COO will work very closely with the CEO and the rest of the leadership team to grow their top-line revenue from around $75M to $150M and beyond.

In this Role, You Will:
Work closely with the CEO on developing strategic execution plans for his high-level vision
Drive forward a data-driven culture that enables the team to make data-driven decisions, including identifying which KPI's to measure and how to utilize that data moving forward
Lead and mentor a team of 4 - Field Ops, Sales/Marketing, HR, and Internal Ops - empower these leaders to maximize the performance of their respective orgs
Build leadership synapses, cross-departmental collaboration, and better communication about departmental priorities. Work with each department's leader to understand their needs and goals, and how they impact the company's top-line goals as well as other departments, creating connection to each other and the company as a whole.
Implement sustainable, scalable processes that lead to more efficiency
Help evaluate and build integration plans for potential acquisitions as well as new ideas and ventures
Be a culture carrier as well as a personal brand builder, in order to establish yourself as an SME both internally and externally
What You'll Need:
Experience running Operations (as a VP of Ops or a COO) for a construction company (ideally, utilities construction - telecom, water, sewer, gas, etc)
Have grown a company from around $60-90M to $150-250M
Proven abilities in creating a data-driven culture or expanding on a data-driven culture - including establishing KPI's, making data-driven decisions, and having a love for all things measurable
Financial leadership experience - P&L ownership, deep understanding of not only EBITDA, but how to improve bottom line while growing top-line revenue
Excellent leadership chops - desire to grow your team's ability and performance
Experience with M&A (both acquiring other companies and setting a company up for potential acquisition)
Proactive approach. detail-oriented, and a passion for figuring out "how we get there"
Appetite for creating order from a state of disorder
