A higher education healthcare system is looking for a Project Director to join their General Internal Medicine Hospitalist unit. This role will include project management as well as the creation and management of annual attending schedules. The responsibilities will also include administrative and analytical support for leadership and ongoing projects. The position entails 20% faculty scheduling and 80% project management.
Day to day:
Create and manage hospital's attending schedules for approximately 116 providers, ensuring coverage for approximately 45 inpatient teams
Provide ongoing maintenance of schedules, including but not limited to
filling scheduling gaps due to faculty departures, leaves of absence, etc.
Facilitating hospitalist faculty leave of absence requests with human resources
Ensure accurate publication of schedules on Amion and Lightning Bolt
Coordinate moonlighting of unfilled shifts (e.g., sending out moonlighting emails, accurately keeping track of shifts that are assigned, communicating assigned shifts to the Department of Medicine Academic Compensation team for accurate payment, ensuring Amion/LB are updated, etc.
Provide administrative and analytical support for hospitalist working group meetings and projects
Maintain active communication with faculty cohort leads, assistant directors, and directors regarding scheduling-related issues
Oversee Lightning Bolt (scheduling platform) maintenance and updates
Assist in developing staffing contingency plans for any anticipated changes
Establish regular meeting cadence with the director of hospitalist scheduling and hospitalist leadership; set meeting agenda, follow up on action items, etc
Must haves:
3+ Years Project Management Experience
Excel: Extensive expertise using Excel including data analysis, tables/graphs, formulas, etc.
Coding experience: Macros or VBA or C++ or Visual Basic - not totally required
Hospital system experience
Plusses:
Lightning Bolt (visual basics C++) complexity for scheduled
Ability to be flexible with scheduling and responsibilities

Compensation:
$85k/yr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
