Your Role:
As a Warehouse Operator 2 at MilliporeSigma, you will pull components for packaging operations to help efficiently package and ship a quality product within a safe working environment at our Dekalb site. Specific responsibilities include:
Pull material with hand pulls, pallet jack, or forklift from room temp, cooler, or freezer locations
Verify product number, batch number, size, and piece count for each component required for kit or fill
Utilize SAP to track and record all material movements and inventory adjustments
Troubleshoot component shortages and/or problems and escalate to supervision as needed
Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure timely component deliveries
Stage kit and fill components on packaging floor
Record BOM information in packaging documents
Process component returns
Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
Shift: Monday through Friday (weekends as required); Two shifts available: 7 AM to 3 PM and 2 PM to 10 PM
Physical Attributes:
Wear PPE such as hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, and gloves
Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted & move more than 50 pounds with assistance
The work area may occasionally be wet, humid, abnormally hot or cold
Sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, or crouch for the entire shift
Use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and adjust focus
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
2+ years of warehouse experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with material handling equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts
Knowledge of safety rules, ISO and GMP quality standards
SAP experience
Computer skills including Microsoft Office
Ability to do basic math, including use of the metric system and conversions
Good time management and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong written and oral communication skills and problem-solving skills
Ability to train others and work in a team setting
