Summary:This role involves strategizing, overseeing, and orchestrating work activities and resources to ensure the manufacturing of products aligns with specified cost, quality, and quantity standards. Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:(Include the following; however, other duties may apply.)
  • Manages the production activities of the Wood Shop floor.
  • Supervises all production operations such as machining, processing, and assembly.
  • Reviews processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
  • Reviews operations reports and confers with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
Supervisory Responsibilities:Supervises production staff supervisors and/or group leaders. Education and/or Experience:Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in a related technical field and at least six years of progressive manufacturing experience or an equivalent combination of education and training. They need a strong understanding of electrical/electronic manufacturing processes, quality control, cost management, and effective use of the SAP system, particularly in shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control. Familiarity with operations management concepts and safety requirements is also essential. Language Skills:Possessing exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities, candidates for this position demonstrate proficiency in both verbal and written communication. Their strength lies in fostering meaningful connections and effectively conveying information through articulate verbal expression and well-crafted written communication. Reasoning Ability:A key attribute required for this position is a strong reasoning ability, with a focus on exceptional analytical skills. Meeting the minimum requirements involves the capacity to define problems, gather relevant data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Additionally, proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications is essential for successful performance in this role. The candidate should demonstrate a keen aptitude for analytical thinking and a thorough understanding of technical details.
