SHRM is seeking an experienced and innovative Event Marketing Manager to lead the strategy and execution of our B2B2C event marketing campaigns. This role requires expertise in creating engaging, personalized experiences for both corporate buying committees as well as individual attendees audiences alike, utilizing an audience-centric strategy that is omni-channel and very agile to pivot once in market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full event marketing lifecycle, from strategy development to performance analysis, ensuring the seamless integration of storytelling, omnichannel campaigns, and partnership marketing.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Marketing Strategy: Develop and manage comprehensive marketing strategies that engage B2B and B2C audiences, ensuring alignment with business goals and audience needs.
  • Data-Driven Personalization: Leverage data analytics and customer insights to create hyper-personalized marketing campaigns.
  • Omnichannel Campaigns: Oversee multichannel marketing efforts, including email marketing, social media, SEO, paid ads, and content marketing, ensuring consistency and targeting for both B2B and B2C audiences. Working closely with in-house SMEs of channels.
  • Experience Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design interactive and immersive experiences pre- and post-event that captivate business decision-makers, members and non-members to compliment the actual event experience.
  • Partnership and Influencer Marketing: Build and manage relationships with key partners, influencers, speakers, and sponsors to enhance event visibility and credibility across industries.
  • Content Development: Oversee the creation of compelling content, storytelling, blog posts, and videos that drive excitement and participation. Partner with the brand team and events team on event branding.
  • ROI and Performance Analysis: Use analytics tools to measure, optimize, and report on the performance of marketing efforts, adjusting strategies to maximize ROI in real-time. This role requires a high-degree of flexibility and agility.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals, ensuring successful execution of marketing initiatives and continuous team development.
  • Adoption of AI: Must have an appetite to pilot AI-driven tactics within the event marketing lifecycle to reduce cost and increase efficiency.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage event marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective strategies and ROI-driven campaigns.
  • Innovation and Emerging Trends: Stay ahead of event marketing trends and emerging technologies, incorporating innovative strategies to elevate the attendee experience.


Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: 7+ years of experience in event marketing, with a focus on B2B2C or similar industries, and prefer 2 years in a managerial role. Scale of events ranging from boutique dinners to 20k+ person conferences/trade shows.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., CJA, AEM, etc.) and marketing automation platforms, preferred experience with Marketo.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Experience leading and motivating marketing teams, with a focus on collaboration and performance-driven results.
  • Omnichannel Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple platforms, including social media, out-of-home, email, and paid media. Ability to showcase your innovative tactical ability in a test and learn environment.
  • Content and Storytelling: Strong content marketing skills, with the ability to develop engaging and relevant narratives for business and consumer audiences.
  • Event Technology: Familiarity with event platforms for virtual and hybrid events (e.g., Zoom, On24) and key digital engagement tools (e.g., Rainfocus).
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret data to drive decisions, optimize campaigns, and ensure measurable event success.
  • Partnership and Influencer Experience: Proven track record in managing partnerships and influencer relationships to enhance event visibility.
  • Innovative Mindset: Strong creativity and problem-solving skills to design and execute unique event experiences that align with industry trends.

The hiring range for this position is $105,000 to $125,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
