Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:

General office duties. Maintaining departmental records and files while determining priorities of work to be done.


Duties specific to department may include:


  • Hire, train, and manage Student Box Office work study and production house managers for each theatre production, office student workers for two locations, and individual House Managers for each production.

  • Maintain Box Office start up cash, deposits, credit card and tax reconciliations for theatre productions.

  • Supervise development, printing, assembly, and distribution of production posters and programs.

  • Assisting with printing and advertising calendars for Cinema International and theatre productions.

  • Assist with ticketing website.

  • Purchase scripts and secure Royalties for productions.

  • Work with Student Stage Managers on productions for access to rooms, develop programs, and maintains record of student production assignments.

  • Assist with purchasing of movies and flyers/posters/Curris Center rentals for Cinema International.

  • Assist with organization of Global Language showcase and Kite Festival.

  • Assist with planning and organizing Teachers' Workshops.

  • Process and keep track of the work study hours and budgets for all work student in the shops and main office.

  • Maintains record of student production assignments required for THD 106/112 and program requirements for Theatre Major and Minor graduation requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education Requirements:



  • Two years of college credit.


Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:



  • Two years of administrative experience in a university, business or government office. Additional college education and related experience may be exchanged year-for-year to meet qualifications.

  • Alertness, memory for verbal or written directions and details, and ability to plan and make decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, supervisory, multi-tasking, and organizational skills required.

  • Must have pleasant, proactive personality and ability to handle demanding situations.

  • Must be able to quickly adapt to address changing circumstances and personalities.

  • Keyboarding, filing, MS Office Suite programs, office procedures; bookkeeping may be required.
