Position Summary:
Position that is focused primarily on the capture of complete and accurate instrument information to support Asset Management Services. This position will use the basic functionality of systems and applications such as: Inventory Capture database, Maximo, and the Microsoft Office suite of programs. The tools that will be employed would include various scanners and desktop computers. This position plays a critical role in supporting site initiatives to enhance client satisfaction, account profitability and retention. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator and effectively develop and maintain positive working relationships with the internal and external customers.

Unity Lab Services is a business segment that supports the Customer Channels Group and provides critical outsourced on-site services at customer locations.
This position is based out of South San Francisco, CA.

This position is passionate about service delivery excellence within Unity Lab Services! Specific activities relative to the job function include: product receiving, stocking, product disbursement, inventory delivery, and other basic inventory management activities - by applying the functionality of systems and applications such as ULS IM, and Microsoft Office.
A day in the Life:
Works at a high level independently
Coordinates with customers to schedule inventory of assets
Analyzes varying reports to include: RAIL excel data, Power BI excel data, and expiring inventory
Operates various Thermo Fisher Scientifics handheld devices that include: ULSscan & Inventory Management
Follows well-defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOPs & work instructions
Take direction and communicates openly with Site Supervisors (and Team Lead) regarding daily duties. Makes decisions and uses available resources to meet customer requirements, independently
Promotes personal growth and development by staying abreast of new policies and improvements
Raise customer concerns and quickly identifies the course of action with a goal of first call resolution within established turnaround times
Represents Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations, expertly and positively
Ability to travel is required
Keys Responsibilities:
Use inventory tools to collect asset data in laboratory environment
Export and analyze data for data cleansing to prepare for submission
Travel to multiple client locations as applicable to support account needs (>80%).
Responsible for complete and accurate data input to Resource Center database.
Develop and maintain positive and professional working relationships with clients and Thermo Fisher staff.
Responsible for customer happiness and loyalty and overall asset data integrity and accuracy
Develop action plans and tracking mechanisms to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure that all compliance and regulatory guidelines are met specific to asset management and services program to include all facets of inventory management through provided tools.
Drive problem resolution at account as needed.
Adhere to all Thermo Fisher and customer security and safety procedures.
Support opportunities to identify and represent other Thermo Fisher products and services.
Participate or lead PPI project teams as assigned to improve business performance.
Assist site teams with escorting engineers to labs as needed.
Other appropriate duties as assigned by Thermo Fisher management.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience in a customer facing position
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Must display a high level of confidentiality for both the customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific

Experience in Life Sciences or Healthcare environment
