Job Description Summary

The Collateral Specialist Team Lead will support the Team Manager with the review and approval of all paid loans for 16 charters completed by the Release Team Members.  Additionally, they will support the Team Manager with the review and approval of all payoff letters/quotes for IBS/ACBS.   Also, they will assist in the management of the Collateral Vault operations.

What You’ll Do

• Review all paid loans for 16 charters completed by the Release Team members and approve / sign the release of collateral


• Monitor / Communicate findings related to the release process


• Process paid loans, verify if crossed collateralized and obtain lenders approval in order to release collateral


• Maintain the Paid Loan Report to ensure all paid loans are reviewed / processed


• Research requests from third parties to ensure the validation to release collateral


• Process and review IBS/ACBS payoff letters/Quotes


• Assist in the management of the daily Collateral Vault operations including filing new loans, trailing documents, audit support activities, handling daily file or document requests and pulling of paid loan files.

Knowledge/Skills/Background/Experience

• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in an office or operations environment which services and supports banking line of business.


• Strong written and oral communication skills and organizational skills


• Some knowledge and understanding of various loan documents, banking processing standards, best practices and audit control procedures
