Job Description:

Oversee the Membership staff and manage day-to-day operations of the Welcome Desk, including member interaction and engagement. Also responsible for assisting with Aquatics administration tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Maintain the Welcome Desk schedule and be responsible for coverage for absent Membership Representatives.
2. Recruits, develops, trains, and coaches Membership staff.
3. Oversee day to day operations of the Welcome Desk and correct any staff errors.
4. Daily maintains all computer files relating to membership.
5. Daily maintains all Welcome Desk and back-office record keeping systems.
6. Sets an example by adhering to the Welcome Desk Dress Policy standards when representing the YMCA at the front desk or at outside visits.
7. Assist the Senior Director, as needed, with planning, coordinating, implementing and attending membership related events, health fairs, or other similar functions.
8. Connect with community members and organizations to plan and implement monthly senior luncheons.
9. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

-Ability to effectively interpret and communicate information from one person or source to another
-Ability to work alone, or in a collaborative group environment, and meet daily deadlines
- Ability to guide and direct Membership Representatives
- Ability to work and multi-task in a hectic environment
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule when necessary
- Ability to type proficiently and work on a computer
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess Bachelors degree; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office operations
- Possess proficient ability and skills in word processing, data entry, various record keeping systems, bookkeeping, and basic mathematical skills
- Highly attentive to detail
- Ability to courteously respond to inquiries and complaints
- Exceptional customer service skills, Must be able to handle multiple priorities in a busy environment
