ECS is seeking a System Admin III to work in our Albuquerque, NM office.

Job Description:
ECS is seeking a System Admin III to support a major Department of Energy National Laboratory. The candidate will provide the following IT support that includes examination of threat sources against system vulnerabilities to determine the threats for a system in a particular operational environment, provide services for the design and implementation of Windows servers.
This position is on-site.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Provide server and desktop Windows support to our customer base.
Virtualization of servers and desktop machines on the stand alone and classified networks
Software support for customer specific COTS and in house created applications.
Checking logs, hardening systems against STIGS, and other security related tasks
Working with vendors when issues cannot be solved in house and for warranty work.
Server installations and decommissions.
Working in high stress environment when at remote test location (this is a quarterly duty rotated amongst the team members).
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience - BA/BS in IT Related field plus 2 years of IT experience
Must be a US Citizenship
Must have an active Q clearance and the ability to maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q security clearance.
Required Skills:
Windows/Linux system administration experience for at least 2 years with the following skills:
End-User Application Support
System Setup
Account Management
File services
Network Configuration
Application Hosting
Familiarity with Firewall technology & management of private network(s)
VMWare or other virtualization experience
Ability to effectively collaborate with other IT professionals
Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
US Citizen
DOE Q Clearance Minimum to start or DOD Top Secret equivalent
BS/BA degree
Desired Skills:
Server room management (e.g. - power, cooling, cabling, racking)
Experience with quality assurance testing
Experience in Virtual/Cloud Deployments
Developing scripts for automating services tasks
