About the Role

Essity is looking for an experienced sales leader who will manage a team of four Strategic Account Managers and driving growth within all strategic accounts. The National Strategic Accounts Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales processes that lead to profitable revenue growth. This will include the desired outcomes of increased volumes of Essity Products/Solutions and the cultivation of relationships within the acute care setting. This role will focus on expanding current relationships and creating new partnerships with life science companies, particularly at the C-suite level.

The ideal individual will have strong communication skills and the ability to drive action throughout the organization. This individual will be tasked with enhancing the capabilities of the sales organization and driving accountability to business targets. 

This role can be located anywhere in the continental United States and will require an average travel of 60%.

Due to the nature of this role you will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. “Fully vaccinated” means two weeks have passed from the last injection of primary series.  You will also need to comply with customer/client requirements which may include boosters for access to client premises or to maintain compliance with credentialing.

What You Will Do


  • Lead a team of 4 Strategic Account Managers overseeing all Strategic Accounts in the United States, encompassing therapy areas such as compression, wound care, and ortho/fracture management within US Medical.

  • Drive National IDN and Health System sales, manage contracts, customize pricing, and develop incentive offerings.

  • Direct sales strategy, negotiation, pricing, marketing, and operational strategies.

  • Utilize GPO Contracting expertise with Vizient, Premier, HealthTrust, Government, and Regional collaboratives within IDNs.

  • Build strong relationships across the internal matrix and with C-suite executives.

  • Conduct Total Value and Clinical and Economic Modeling to enhance customer engagement and outcomes.

  • Manage strategic account planning and execution, focusing on client relationships and driving sales.

Who You Are


  • Minimum of 7 years medical sales experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of successful people management experience

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree

  • Sales Leadership: Proven ability to sell Total Value to both new and existing customers.

  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain executive-level relationships, positioning Essity as a strategic partner.

  • Business Development: Identify and address prospective customer needs, presenting Essity solutions that drive business improvement.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with client management and internal teams to strengthen customer relations and identify additional sales opportunities.

  • Sales Administration: Maintain accurate updates within the customer relationship management system (Dynamics 365).

  • Strategic Networking: Attend relevant conferences and events to enhance executive contacts and internal strategic relationships.
