Security Supervisor, ON, Loss Prevention -North Carolina at Publix Super Markets, Inc. in Mcleansville, North Carolina

Job Description:

• supervise a highly demanding shift of security officers responsible for safe-guarding property against illegal entry, fire, theft and vandalism

• ensure the presence of required security officers to fulfill all necessary tasks for shift or facility

• ensure the quality of performance of security officers, patrol area of responsibility, maintain schedules, make frequent patrol rounds, maintain daily activity log, and complete incident reports

• enforce all Publix security policies and procedures, detain and question person(s) as required

• report directly to the Manager of Security Operations, but will work with facility management in matters of safety, security and loss control

• complete other security duties as assigned. • security officer and/or security clerk experience

• must be at least 20 years of age with a valid driver’s license

• working knowledge of Word, Access, Excel and Outlook

• able to withstand walking and standing for long periods of time

• excellent supervisory skills

• able to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended periods of time

• excellent verbal and written communication skills

• able to use a two-way radio

• able to work well with others and be a team member

  • three (3) years security experience

• one (1) year of general supervisory experience

• possess a Class \"D\" Security Officer's License or independently obtain a Class \"D\" Security Officer's License within 90 days of the hire date.
