In this business-critical role, you will be a part of Neuromodulation Finance team, responsible for supporting all financial aspects of product development and released product management. The Neuromodulation (NM) operating unit is a competitive and dynamic business with a global footprint and products ranging from implantable spinal cord stimulators to different ablation procedures falling under the Medtronic mission of relieve pain for our patients.

This position will report to the Sr Finance Manager, Pain Therapies R&D/OPC.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Performs variance analysis, forecasting, financial planning, and expense comparisons for NM cost centers and projects specific to the business


• Investigates financial results, prepares, and assists in the production of key month-end close activities


• Supports project accounting processes, system, and reporting


• Maintaining data attributes critical for streamlining reporting and/or transitioning manual reporting to PowerBI


• Prepares insights to management and develops leadership presentations in support of key meetings and reviews


• Assist the AOP budgeting and rolling forecast process


• Business partnering with members of the NM team which may include therapy directors, core team leaders and project managers


• Responding to ad hoc data requests and supporting special projects


• Collaborating with other members of the NM Finance team and Corporate R&D Finance COE to drive process efficiencies

Must Have (Minimum Requirements)

• Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting


• OR Advance Degree with 5+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting

Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)

• Hyperion/Essbase and SAP experience


• High energy, results-orientated individual with good analytical and problem-solving skills


• Innovative, growth mindset with ability to recognize improvement opportunities and embrace change


• Strong quantitative analysis, critical thinking and problem solving skills


• High degree of initiative and self-motivation


• Strong oral and written communication skills


• Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously while appropriately prioritizing


• Experience with business partnering


• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment


• BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance


• CPA, CFA, MBA in Finance or a Master degree

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$103,200.00 - $154,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
