Coordinates and participates in audits of moderate to high level of complexity; directs audit staff in conducting moderately complex audit projects. Possesses and applies broad and specific knowledge of finance, operations and business processes to complete assignments. Interacts with senior Bank and System management and project stakeholders. Develops and maintains relationships with auditees and management to ensure thorough communication.

The level of work is advanced and staff must be able to work under minimal supervision. This job does not have any direct reports.

Your Responsibilities:


  • Plans and adapts approach to audits based on level of risk and complexity

  • Assigns audit objectives to relevant staff based on knowledge of auditor skillset and anticipated complexity of work

  • Conducts complex fieldwork on audits, including preparing work papers in accordance with IIA standards

  • Oversees on-going monitoring and key indicator reviews for areas of responsibility

  • Monitors key performance measures at the District and Systems levels for assigned area of responsibility

  • Identifies risks and clearly articulates their impacts

  • Assess the basic design and operating effectiveness of IT general controls

  • Assess how key controls are incorporated into business applications

  • Leads the development of findings and prepares report documentation

  • Presents complex findings to senior leadership

  • Coordinates follow-up on reported findings and ensures results are documented

  • Provides general guidance and training to new staff

  • Provides training for audit department staff in key Bank processes

  • Serves as auditor-in-charge for multiple, moderately complex audits under general supervision of Audit Manager

  • Reviews work of others to ensure compliance with IIA standards

  • Acts as Audit Liaison for moderate to moderately high risk business processes

  • Supervises staff during assigned audits, provides feedback and serves as a coach and mentor to lower level staff

  • Participates in and/or leads department, Bank, or System projects

  • Participates in System audit work groups and audit community initiatives

  • Participates in and may lead QA project work and initiatives

  • Communicates updates and information to project stakeholders as needed

  • Assists management in preparing annual audit plan and develops material for the Audit Committee Participates in consulting projects including efficiency and process reviews and vendor reviews

  • Leads a team in assessing the effectiveness of moderately to highly complex projects or programs to achieve intended business outcomes and benefits, to deliver expected results, and to manage risks

  • Evaluates the design, function, and actual results from governance & oversight, project & risk management, quality assurance reviews, development/ acquisition, testing, and delivery

Your Background:


  • 3+ years of experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree; preferred field of study: Accounting, Finance or Business

  • CPA, CIA or CISA required

  • Strong understanding of Federal Reserve System business lines and strategies at local and System level

  • Demonstrated independent thinking and decision-making abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Demonstrated relationship building skills
