TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Test Engineer in Middleton, TN.
Support the manufacture of quality electronic products through the development and maintenance of electronic test equipment. Technical contributor in the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of highly complex test equipment used in manufacturing operations, and with suppliers locally, nationally, and internationally.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUCNTIONS:
Design test equipment for PC boards and control systems. Document test equipment designs using Microsoft Office and AutoCad for highly complex tests.
Research and purchase test equipment (Hi-pot testers, oscilloscopes, etc.) for highly complex tests.
Develop computer automated test programs or ISO approved test procedures for highly complex tests.
Order equipment for test development (date acquisition hardware, vacuum fixtures, software, power supplies, etc.) for highly complex tests.
Assemble and wire test equipment (drilling mounting holes, mounting hardware, labeling, wiring, etc.) for highly complex tests.
Support Quality requests for test modifications and improvements for highly complex tests.
Train production employees to operate test equipment, and when necessary, help troubleshoot products in a production environment for highly complex tests.
Work with TKE vendors of electronics to help them establish testing for highly complex tests.
Troubleshoot problems with electronic circuitry, variable frequency drives, and elevator control systems for highly complex tests.
Provide assistance in resolving complex quality issues including field complaints and warranty issues for highly complex tests.
Act as Project Manager for large Test Equipment Projects that includes the work of others.
Report status, metrics, and updates as needed to Executive Leadership.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires Engineering degree and 8 or more years of experience or equivalent or a combination of relevant education and experiences.
5-7 years of experience working in electronics
5+ years of experience programming in one or more software languages: Lab-View, Visual Basic, C Sharp, Visual C++, Test Stand or similar software package.
5+ years of experience developing electronic test equipment
5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
Project Management Certification, preferred
Experience working with Elevator Systems and controls, preferred.
Lean/Six Sigma Certification, preferred
