Job Description:

Heluna Health is a national nonprofit leader in providing program and support services to optimize population health. SUMMARY
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support in the HR Department.

Salary Range: $22.68 to $26.21 per hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

HR Duties
• Creates new employee personnel files.
• Maintains copies of documents for new hire orientation packets and supervisor handbooks.
• Completes employment verifications and background checks.
• Conducts filing for the HR department.
• Responds promptly to requests for service and assistance.
• Mails supplies of new hire packets and benefits packets to programs as needed.
• Responsible for I-9 filing and record keeping.
• Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Special projects as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

• One to three years of experience providing clerical/administrative support – data entry, filing, faxing, etc., preferably in an HR Department
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
• HS Diploma required; some college preferred.

Other Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Must have the ability to assume initiative, develop and maintain effective working professional relationships. Good organizational skills, verbal and written skills are imperative. Demonstrated ability to use discretion and judgement in dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
