We currently offer the following position based in the San Francisco Bay Area covering Northern California and Hawaii, which will be fully remote and will require occasional overnight travel.




Sales Specialist, Imaging Core



Come join a fantastic team! Facilitate researchers and improve their science through your consultation. The Imaging Sales Specialist-Core provides technical sales support for all advanced widefield microscopy products within our broader portfolio. The sales specialist is focused on selling to the life science research community and is engaged with the local Leica selling team in all facets of their commercial activities. The role reports to the Regional Sales Manager, Northwest and covers the Northern California and Hawaii geographies.



YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Provide consultative sales support for products, their applications and software to customers and the local Key Account Manager.




  • Create and convert sales opportunities to revenue.




  • Work with internal stakeholders to build account-based strategies.




  • Perform successful product demonstrations and present demo reports to drive sales results.




  • Work in a team-selling environment by contributing positive motivation and working collaboratively to meet regional targets





YOUR PROFILE




  • BA/BS in the life sciences or optics field required; advanced degree (MA, PhD) preferred.




  • Familiarity with biological imaging applications needed; fluorescence, confocal microscopy and optics experience highly valued.




  • Previous Sales experience of Microscopy highly preferred




  • 4 plus years in a research, quality-control or production environment, applying microscopy and digital imaging techniques to drive results.




  • Teaching or training experience, provide training to others on how to apply imaging equipment and techniques to solve scientific questions.





TRAVEL, MOTOR VEHICLE RECORD & PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:




  • Ability to travel (70-80%) - primarily daily, domestic travel with occasional overnight travel




  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

The base salary range for this role is $105,000 -$120,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
