Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 333-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus including at a network of Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

Job Role Summary



The Spanish Medical Interpreter PRN provides Spanish medical interpretations when appropriate to various clinics and/or departments within the hospital.




Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Provides Spanish medical interpretations when appropriate to various clinics and/or departments within the hospital


• Serves as a patient advocate for monolingual Spanish speaking patients that require assistance.


• Maintains a daily call log to track services provided and submit reports monthly.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree is preferred in any Human Services related field


• At least three years of related experience and education will be considered in lieu of degree


• Trained in medical terminology in both English and Spanish


• Bilingual in English and Spanish


• Bicultural in the English and Spanish cultures

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong medical terminology in both English and Spanish


• Must have Bridging the Gap or comparable course
