Location/Division Specific Information:
Located in Franklin, MA, the Material Handler II will support the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) which provides a diverse mix of analytical instruments and associated services to a broad range of global end user markets including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Energy, Mining, Life Science Manufacturing and Recycling.

A Day in the Life:
Picks, transports, controls materials to support the production manufacturing functions, ensuring all transactions are completed timely, accurately, and procedurally to maintain system integrity.
Coordinates and schedules incoming and outbound shipments.
Conducts work in a safe and effective manner, following all applicable procedures and policies in accordance with SOPs, taking appropriate action to correct unsafe acts, systems and procedures.
Ensure the accurate expedition of selecting and labeling product for sales orders from the stockroom to delivery to the shipping department raise any delays.
Packs and processes with common carrier applications UPS, Federal Express, DHL. Stages and ensures quality of LTL shipments. Produces the necessary documents for international shipments, checks all shipments for accuracy, and files the government AES.
Check all deliveries to determine that purchase order numbers, quantities, and lot numbers match packing slip and certificate of analysis, verifying that incoming materials are received from an approved location using appropriate systems.
Receives, stores, handles and delivers raw materials, bulk components, finished product and non-production items to appropriate areas.
Assists with daily cycle counts.
Facilitates and assists peer training.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related field
Preferred: Inventory Control experience
Preferred: Experience transacting in MRP systems, Smartsheet, and Salesforce, and experience with computers and scanning equipment.
Preferred: Experience with pallet jack and dolly experience as well as powered industrial trucks (order pickers)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong written and interpersonal skills to clearly share information with employees, communicate well with internal customers and other internal departments of the Distribution organization.
Developed analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate, interpret information and procedures, understand, and act on to resolve issues as they arise.
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Desire to work as part of a team, but also able to work independently.
Follow SOP and company policies, accepting coaching as needed. Does the right thing when no one's watching.
Ability to read and write in English.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Traditional warehouse setting with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements including but not limited to: safety glasses protection, close toed footwear, and steel toed boots.
Ability to stand and move about the warehouse for significant periods of time (involving walking, stooping, bending, and reaching) required.
