Finance Officer at City of North Liberty in North Liberty, Iowa

Job Description:

The City of North Liberty has an opening for a full-time Finance Officer.  This new position within the City Administrative offices will be responsible for coordinating the City’s financial activities including budget, payables, receivables, debt issuance, investments, and purchasing to assure that the City of North Liberty meets their financial obligations and compliance. 

Position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field of study with a minimum of five years of experience related to municipal finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Applicants must possess a thorough knowledge of municipal or public accounting, the principles and practices of fund accounting and modified accrual accounting.  Certified Public Accountant preferred.

Salary range is $80,000 to $90,000. DOQ.  Excellent benefit package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance. 11 Paid Holidays in addition to other paid leave. Required to pass a post-offer physical, drug screen and background screen.
