Job Description:

The YMCA of the Fox Cities is seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic leadership while continuing a culture of financial excellence. The CFO is a part of the Senior Leadership Team, working in partnership with the CEO and COO to ensure long-term success and viability of our association. The CFO manages the Finance department and Technology department for the organization, as well as, oversees Financial Shared Services.

The YMCA of the Fox Cities provides financial shared services support to four independent YMCA Associations as well as the Upper Midwest Alliance of YMCAs with a collective fiscal responsibility portfolio in excess of $58.0 million. The YMCA of the Fox Cities accounts for $34 million of the portfolio.

Our Chief Financial Officer actively engages with the Board and the Finance Committee, facilitating conversations and decision-making to advance the organizations impact. Collaborates with Board members to build relationships, develop policies, monitor implementation, and more.

Job Responsibilities

Lead and manage all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Oversee the development of the annual operating budget, including six-branch budgets. Work closely with operations to ensure all branch budgets are well-planned, realistic, and prepared in a timely manner.
Establish, maintain, and/or monitor all banking and financing relationships.
Oversee compliance with Federal contracts, New Market Tax Credits agreements, and Tax-Exempt bond transactions.
Prepare analysis and reports, give guidance to executive and operating staff. Work closely with operations on issues affecting financial outcomes and secure & allocate program or project resources to achieve strategic objectives.
Develop and implement financial strategies that support the organizations mission and goals.
Forecast trends and their implications on the future of the organization.
Develop performance indicators and measurement systems for tracking strategic plan objectives.
Review, update, and/or develop internal control systems and oversee internal and external audits. Maintain positive relationships with external auditors and keep them informed of changes.
Maintain effective working relationships with auditors, bankers, investment counselors, attorneys, and other professional advisors.
