Overview


The Global Sales Project Manager assists our Vice President, Global Accounts in growing our global sales division. This individual will maintain existing relationships, cultivate new customer relationships, and generate new business opportunities on a global scale.


Responsibilities


Account/Client Specific:

  • Plans and supervises all after-sales activities including but not limited to:
  • Product specification,
  • Tracking manufacturing,
      • Managing delivery and installation logistics of Humanscale products for large contract furniture projects.
  • Provides direction and support to project team:
  • Defines project tasks.
      • Identifies and allocates appropriate project resources such as project engineers, schedulers, product managers etc.
  • Delegates job responsibilities and oversees that quality work is being completed within the appropriate deadlines.
  • Provides instruction to various supporting team members internally and externally.
  • Manages product specifications and creates project-specific product configurations (SORS) in collaboration with engineers/product managers per client or project needs
  • Prepares preliminary project quotes for customers and/or dealerships – in conjunction with overseeing quotes prepared from customer care.
  • Reviews specifications and installation drawings; field verification
  • Defines, creates, and tracks project deliverables including but not limited to:
    • Client-specific products and pricing lists,
    • Order and warranty replacement trackers, etc.
    • Guidelines for installation and troubleshooting
  • Plans and schedules macro project timelines per account and micro project timelines for each project – as needed.
  • Maintains active contact with clients/design firms/dealerships on all project activities.
      • Attend construction meetings, client project calls, etc. as needed.
      • Supervises installation team as needed.
  • Manages mockup and sample process for large projects.
      • Specifies and tests mock-ups for different projects per client needs – in conjunction with technicians and GAM.
      • Coordination of sample ordering, delivery, and installation.
      • Close out any samples for return or bill only.
    • Monitors and issues reports on project schedules and progress, orders, and warranty/replacement status to all stakeholders as necessary
    • Presents internal reports defining project progress, problems, quality issues, and solutions.
    • Ensures that the products delivered, or services rendered, comply with specifications and meet installation standards.
      • Manages delivery and installation process; identifies and resolves punch items or quality issues in a timely manner.
    • Coordinates/attends post-installation walk-through and the first day of business user instructions.
  • Provides a final summary of the project and results for clients.
    • Creates, updates, and maintains client-specific microsites in collaboration with the marketing team.

Global Account Program Specific:

    • Proactively create marketing collateral for Global Account Team – including look books, QR codes and other branded material
  • Create and maintain Global Account sales credit split document for customer care.
  • Proactively seek deposit waivers - check dealer credit limit, work with local team/ AR to establish terms.
  • Maintain Spif information and approvals.
  • CRM – maintain opportunities and activities within assigned Global Accounts
  • Manage and curate Global SharePoint site - central repository of Global specific resources/ collateral.
  • Regional travel to job sites as needed (10-15%)


Qualifications


  • General knowledge of commercial office space planning, architecture, or construction
  • Familiar with Humanscale products and solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent certification) with a minimum of 3 years of applicable experience
  • Ability to read, understand and/or willingness to learn construction drawings, furniture specification plans, RFP packages, shop drawings, and other architectural drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and respond in quick time frames.
  • Prioritization skills with a strong analytical approach to solving complex issues, with an ability to perform under pressure.
  • Understanding of project logistics/delivery and installation requirements to create plans and schedules accordingly.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; effective relation-building capacity with clients, dealerships, and internal teams at different levels in the organization
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer service skills
  • Project Management experience preferred.
  • Background in Contract Furniture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or Construction preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Intermediate to advanced experience in MS Office
  • Understanding of Smartsheet, AutoCAD, TruView, CAP 20/20 is a plus.

Salary Range: $68,695.00 - $100,200.00

In addition to the salary there is a bonus variable component. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline. Humanscale considers other factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market location and business considerations when extending an offer.
