About the position
Our summer internship program allows you to get to know more about the electrical construction industry and our business before beginning your career after graduation. As an intern, you will work closely with a project manager to gain exposure to safety protocol, communication with customers, and financial performance. Internships are reserved for individuals with a strong desire to start a career in the electrical construction industry.
Day in the life
Assist in the total construction and design effort (if applicable) to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
Act as a liaison to coordinate communication between both internal and external members of the project, including, but not limited to, General Contractors, Subcontractors, Superintendents, and Foremen.
Assist the Project Manager in the authorization and/or approval of all project staffing including, but not limited to, choice of superintendent, general foremen, and foremen. Assist with estimating projects and creating bid proposals.
Assist the Project Manager with purchase requisitions, payment approvals, and change order requests.
Assists in the implementation/interpretation of safety programs and ensures that all OSHA requirements are met.
Assist in the maintenance of all official project documentation and logs.
Provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Our Ideal Candidate
Current college student pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Safety or a related field
Interest in the construction industry
Minimum Qualifications
Must currently be enrolled in a degree program in the Engineering field
Must possess a strong desire to start a career in the electrical construction industry
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
Outstanding interpersonal and team leadership skills
Must possess strong attention to detail and ensure maximum quality of work throughout the lifecycle of the project
Experience with Accubid a plus
Experience with Bluebeam Revu a plus
