Description:

Leprino Foods Company, a global leader in the dairy food and ingredient industry, is seeking a Maintenance Parts Room Attendant to join our team located in Roswell, NM. To coordinate and direct daily tasks in the Maintenance Parts Room area by receiving and issuing mechanical parts and other materials to all production departments following all company policies and procedures, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $20.32 and $20.95.

We Ask of You:

  • Physically receive freight and input data into MAXIMO, tag received freight and stock all items in their proper location.
  • Cycle count inventory. Count stock items and enter counts and data into MAXIMO accurately.
  • Operate computer-based inventory and purchasing systems.
  • Provide timely and efficient customer service in the MRO Storeroom to include issue and receive parts, equipment and supplies as requested.
  • Enters appropriate data into handheld devices and RF inventory scanners when required.
  • Prepares necessary paperwork to process a “rush” request, or “Special Order” for internal customers.
  • Puts inventory away, identifies back-stock locations; maintains cleanliness and orderliness in Storeroom rows.
  • Completes special projects/assignments as required by the Supervisor and Manager.
  • Performs lift truck driving for storage and retrieval of materials.
  • Contact vendors request to request confirmation of orders and confirm delivery dates of materials.
  • Identify stock-out items and communicate immediately.
  • Load and unload freight following all applicable processes and safety rules. Validate that the item unloaded match the bill of lading and is not damaged.
  • Perform housekeeping duties in all parts storage locations.
  • Make sure log is filled out properly for packaging, logging and dropping off shipments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Inventory Control Procedures.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions safely and maintain GMP’s, Safety standards and procedures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and be skilled at different computer programs not limited to; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, MAXIMO, Flex, Kronos, Outlook, Internet, etc. knowing how to operate the printer, copier, fax, etc.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in-group setting. This person interacts daily with all plant departments, vendors, employees, mechanics, etc.
  • Responsible to create and maintain the cycle count log, daily stock storeroom recap, new stock item creation, receiving log, and other applicable reports.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills including being responsive and having a sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrates a professional image in all situations.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
  • Must be able to work Sunday - Saturday, off-shifts, weekends, holidays, and required overtime to support a 24 hour/7-day operation.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 8.5 hours.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments with high degree of accuracy.

  • Must be able to maintain accurate records.

  • Able to interpret data and make necessary decisions.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • This position will be exposed inside ambient temperatures and may include a wet / slippery environment with loud noise in varying degrees of temperature.
  • Specific vision may be required for this position, including close vision, distance vision, color and depth perception, and the ability to read computer screens for extended time periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Bending, squatting, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and climbing upstairs/ladders are required throughout the shift - also working in front of computer entering data and creating various reports.
