We are seeking Bakery Production Workers to join our hard working and fast-paced team. Bakery Production Workers will assist in a variety of positions or tasks with the production of a variety of bread products. All work will be performed in accordance with SQF Food Safety procedures. Job tasks may change from day to day depending upon production needs.

Role and Responsibilities

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to do basic math.

Must be able to lift 20 to 50 pounds.

Must be familiar with machinery in assigned area and have the ability to make proper adjustments if needed.

Must be able to perform quality checks applicable to the designated area. For example, temperature checks, pastry weighing, metal detector checks tec..

Must be capable of taking over area if foreman is not present.

Must be capable of completing all assigned paperwork in timely manner

Must be able to assist their areas’ personnel with any task that is performed

Must be able to effectively communicate with personnel in designated area

Must be able to effectively communicate with other department forepersons and leads

Use proper pull/push/lifting safe work methods.

Follow all instructions given by the Foreperson, Supervisor and/or Production Manager

Follow all company’s policies and procedures.

Always work in a safe manner.

Additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

Must uphold the Company’s Core Values.

Area is to be clean at all times.

Shift and Hours are subject to business needs

Qualifications and Requirements

High school graduate or GED required.

Previous experience in similar production duties at a large commercial or artisan bakery is preferred but not required.

Previous experience in a leader role, for example: Lead, foreman, group leader, etc…

Ability to work in a high temperature environment supporting fast paced machinery.

Ability to quickly learn new job tasks and flexibility to work in different jobs as needed.

Must have ability to work thoroughly with attention to detail to meet food safety/quality standards.

Must be able to be productive when machinery is not operable.

Must be able to work any day, including holidays, or any shift.

Must have reliable attendance to meet employer’s attendance standards.

Must have reliable transportation.

Must join the union within 30 days of hire
