Technician




King of Prussia, PA




Contract Position




$20.00-$25.00/Hour



Contribute to the frontier of space exploration and technology, working on satellite systems, space exploration missions, and advanced spaceborne instruments. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a team that expands our understanding and presence in space.




Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical tasks, including troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining equipment and components.
  


• Work from engineering drawings and follow verbal or written instructions to operate related equipment and conduct tests.


• Calibrate and align components, perform modifications, and prepare compounds and solutions for testing.


• Assist in testing electronic parts and materials used in satellite and missile systems.


• Operate a flash x-ray system as part of a two-person team, testing the effects of radiation on electronics.


• Hand-solder components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs/PWBs) used in testing.


• Conduct basic system maintenance and perform standard electrical tests on components such as diodes and transistors.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on soldering experience preferred.


• Experience with electrical testing using power supplies, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and similar equipment preferred.
