Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri(www.wcmo.edu)invites applications for the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (VP / CFO).Reporting to the President and Chief Transformation Officer of Westminster College, the VP / CFO is the principal financial officer and Board appointed Treasurer of the College and serves as a key team member of Westminsters senior administration and a member of the Presidents Cabinet. Additionally, the VP/CFO will be the Cabinet liaison member for the Boards Financial Affairs Committee and Investment Committee and its related administrative functions including various interactions, from time to time, with the Colleges external financial advisors and investment portfolio advisors. However, the oversight and management of the Colleges investment portfolio rests with the Board and the Boards delegated authority of these matters to the Investment Committee. Additionally, the VP/CFO is the Cabinet liaison member for the Boards Institutional Operations Committee. The VP/CFO must have a bachelors degree, with a strong preference for a CPA and an MBA or other relevant graduate degree; over ten years of experience in various areas such as institutional planning, accounting, financial planning, and administration; demonstrated managerial skills; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including the Presidents Cabinet, staff, faculty, and the Board; an understanding of financial affairs, budgetary planning, and change management; and preferably experience at a liberal arts institution. The individual will possess strong organizational, management, strategic planning, systems thinking, creative thinking, and customer service skills. The successful candidate will be a strong administrator and change agent, be able to build and retain a strong team, and balance customer-focused leadership with departmental approach while maintaining financial, operational, and internal control environments. The VP/CFO must be able to navigate and balance between broad leadership and hands-on engagement, together with a sense of customer service focus, in the work of the College and serve as a strategic advisor to the President and the other members of the Presidents Cabinet and other constituencies.
