We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Branch Manager with 5-10 years of banking experience and 3-4 years of management or leadership experience. In this role, you will assist the Branch Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring the highest levels of customer service, operational efficiency, and team performance. You will be a key leader in driving business development efforts, staff management, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations. Mandarin / Cantonese / or Hindi speaking is a bonus/preferred but is NOT required.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management: Assist in the management of branch operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, while maintaining operational efficiency.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate branch staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional growth among team members.
Customer Service: Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service, resolving escalated issues, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Business Development: Collaborate with the Branch Manager to develop strategies for growing the branch's customer base, increasing deposits, and expanding loan portfolios.
Sales Leadership: Drive sales goals and branch performance by identifying opportunities for cross-selling and promoting bank products and services.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all banking laws and regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) policies, know-your-customer (KYC) protocols, and other regulatory requirements.
Financial Oversight: Assist in the management of the branch's budget, financial reporting, and expense control.
Staff Development: Help in recruiting, training, and performance management of branch employees, ensuring staff are well-equipped to meet both individual and branch goals.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with high-value clients and key community stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Experience:
5-10 years of progressive experience in the banking sector.
3-4 years of experience in a management or leadership role within banking, with a strong focus on operations, customer service, and sales.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. (Master's degree is a plus.)

Proficiency in banking software and systems.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards.
Bilingual in Mandarin, Cantonese, or Hindi is a Bonus!
