Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Volunteer Assistant is responsible for handling general volunteer inquiries, managing the Volgistics database, and overseeing volunteer orientation, placement, and communication. This role involves maintaining accurate volunteer records, scheduling, and supporting various volunteer programs and committees.



Schedule:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10:00 am to 6:30 pm. Availability required the day before, the day of, and the day after Thanksgiving, as well as during winter holidays.



Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and schedule volunteers, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.


• Manage communication with volunteers and related committees.


• Assist in orientations and volunteer placements.


• Maintain the volunteer database, ensuring information is up-to-date.


• Support public outreach, represent the organization at events, and conduct facility tours for prospective volunteers.


• Perform administrative tasks, including writing letters and coordinating interviews for volunteer applicants.


• Maintain confidentiality and assist with other duties as needed.
