Job Description The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) has an immediate opening for a Fiscal Assistant Analyst in its Fiscal Unit. In this position, the Assistant Analyst monitors and processes travel requests, provides travel cost estimates, and makes travel arrangements for DANY employees and out of town witnesses, and provides other support as needed to the Fiscal Unit.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Review and process travel requests submitted to Fiscal.
Provide cost estimates for travel requests submitted.
Monitor internal approval status for all pending travel requests.
Work with travel agent to book travel for approved requests.
Follow up with travelers for receipts and associated documents.
Maintain expense journals for travels booked and ensure receipts and necessary approvals have been received for all transactions.
Serve as the back-up for other cash operations related tasks.
Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
In addition to the Minimum Qualification Requirements, candidates must possess the following:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
Work experience requirements for Fiscal Assistant Analyst title:
Level 1 - One (1) year of accounting or business administrative experience or equivalent.
Level 2 - Two (2) years of accounting or business administrative experience or equivalent.
Level 3 - Three (3) years of accounting or business administrative experience or equivalent.
Level 4 - Four (4) years of accounting or business administrative experience or equivalent.
Preferred Requirements/Skills:
Working knowledge of QuickBooks.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Strong mathematical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Ability to learn, update and edit Agency's existing proprietary databases.
Ability to work with frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workflow.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple short-term projects.
Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.
Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with staff in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to interact with all levels of staff and vendors.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, prioritize among competing needs and respond quickly to requests for information.
Hours/Shift:
Monday - Friday, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm.

Current office employees: To be eligible for a transfer or promotion, staff must have already served at least 1 year in their current position and be in good standing. In addition, must meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
Looking for candidates that could commit to one (1) year to the hiring unit.
Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
Education and/or experience which is equivalent to \"1\" above.
