Job Description:





Come join Baker Tilly's Development & Community Advisory (DCA) team as a Senior Consultant! You will be a part of our DCA Development Advisory team where you will provide a variety of services including, but not limited to, energy and infrastructure advisory and project development support, economic development and capital planning support, and federal grant advisory with potential clients such as Tribes and Tribal Organizations, municipalities, non-profits, and other for-profit entities. You will be an integral part of supporting Baker Tilly's services tied to the Inflation Reduction Act.

Description



  • Assist in the strategic planning, design, and assessment of client clean energy initiatives, encompassing areas such as energy efficiency, energy storage, electric transportation, distributed generation, and hydrogen production.


  • Part of a team focused on assessing the technical and financial viability of client energy projects.


  • Support workstreams within complex energy projects/programs, guiding clients in strategizing, designing, evaluating, and implementing key initiatives.


  • Provide expert guidance to clients on the design and execution of clean energy deployment programs.


  • Assist clients in navigating and utilizing federal funding opportunities during energy project development and execution.


  • Advise clients on potential funding sources for projects, as well as key technical and regulatory factors.


  • Manage client interactions and engagement processes for effective communication and collaboration.





Qualifications



Successful candidates will meet the following requirements:


  • A Bachelor's degree in energy, sustainability, environmental science, or engineering (energy or electrical preferred)


  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in energy and/or consulting


  • A minimum of 1-2 years of project management experience


  • Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills, and highly developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel, PPT) required


  • Project Management Professional or Agile Project Management certifications preferred


  • Ability to provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties


  • Superb written and oral communication skills; long written deliverables will be required
