Position Overview:


The Health Care Manager will work with project directors to plan, manage, and coordinate project activities to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within the specified time frame. In this role, you will ensure the success of projects from conceptualization to completion. These projects are both internal (technical and business process oriented) and external (consulting with state governments).


Essential Functions:


  • Define, develop, and manage project goals, governance, risk identification and mitigation, scope, work plan, schedule management, procedures, and staffing/resource requirements across multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ensure that project activities are consistent with the project objectives and that objectives can be met with available resources.

  • Track actual performance against planned project performance, analyze variances, and problem-solve to ensure all needs, milestones, and schedules are met.

  • Work with project directors to develop, complete, and finalize all project deliverables according to project milestones.

  • Contribute to quality control, peer review, writing, and analysis as required.

  • Assist in developing project proposals, outlining deliverables, requirements, risks, assumptions, and project teams' roles and responsibilities.

  • Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Consistently deliver high-quality services.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience.

  • At least 6 years of related experience required.

  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience required.

  • Ability to lead frequent client-facing meetings strongly preferred.

  • Experience managing projects for State Medicaid Agencies and/or supporting the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services programs (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, etc.) strongly preferred.

  • Understanding of Medicaid Home- and Community-Based waivers strongly preferred.

  • Strong analytic skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel strongly preferred.

  • Experience in defining project requirements, developing work plans, and identifying project performance metrics strongly preferred.

  • Ability to prioritize conflicting demands and excellent organization skills strongly preferred.

  • Ability to work independently on projects and within a remote team environment.

  • Execute assigned projects within established deadlines.

  • Maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders and team members.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be willing and able to travel based on business and client needs.

The Team:
Myers and Stauffer takes pride in the welcoming and collaborative culture we have throughout our offices. For this position, the employee will report to one of our Managers or Senior Managers on the Cost Report/DSH engagement team.


Work Style:
Our general business hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, but can vary based on business needs. Dependent on performance, our in-office associates are eligible for a hybrid work schedule after their initial 90-day training period. The annual salary target for this job in this market is $110,000-$125,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
