Position Summary:

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station. The Regional Programs Office Manager oversees the day-to-day operations, projects, and communications for the Regional Programs Office and focuses on high-level prospect and constituent relations on behalf of the Executive Director of Development for Regional Programs and Regional Development Officers. This position directly supervises the Regional Programs Associate. This position organizes and executes all large internal and external meetings and events for donors, prospects and University leadership and constituent units; and assists in the planning and implementation of all cultivation and stewardship activities. It develops and tracks the general department budget and other ad hoc project budgets. This position will serve as the office manager for the Regional Programs Office. This position will be the first point of contact for the Regional Programs Office. It is a key liaison between high-level prospects and internal customers and the Executive Director of Development for Regional Programs and Regional Development Officers. With a keen understanding of the importance of these relationships and with excellent communication skills, this position assists in building strong associations between Regional Programs and donors and constituent units across campus.


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.


Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Excellent advanced knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel and experience with database systems. Must be willing to learn new software applications programs as required. The position requires a self-starter that is able to work collaboratively, is detail-oriented and possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills. This person should be able to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide array of administration, staff and external stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Prefer a candidate with prior experience in development/fundraising non-profit setting and/or experience in higher education. Experience using Davie, the UNC alumni/donor database is a plus.
