Position Summary:

This position will serve as an Associate Clinical Research Coordinator within the Center for Gastrointestinal Biology and Disease. The Associate Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for the execution of clinical research protocols, including leading efforts in gathering, compiling, and reporting data for a variety of research studies


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.


Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Must be able to use considerable judgement and skills in performing work assignments. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally. Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.Candidate must have knowledge of the research principles and methods of data entry, collection, and analysis to complete assignments independently. Candidate must have knowledge of IRB submissions, renewals and modifications; must have the ability to organize, collect, record, present data/information within defined research parameters; must have the ability to ensure quality control and summarize data/information collected; must have the ability to exchange research information through conversation, instruction, and demonstration with the PI and others.Candidate should have concise communication (verbal and written) regarding study patient care. Candidate must possess general knowledge in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Good Clinical practice (GCP). Candidate must also have knowledge general principals of clinical research coordination.


Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Prefer candidates that are well organized, possess good time management skills, and have good communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience with the UNC, IRB, and EPIC is preferred.Prefer the ability to contribute to the preparation of publications, reports and other presentation of compiled study results.
